About our ELL (ESL) Teacher

Welcome to the ELL blog for the Burlington High School and the Marshall Simonds Middle School!  This blog is designed to update parents, students, families, faculty and staff in regards to ELL events and plans (grades 6-12 only) for the Burlington Public Schools, of Burlington, Mass (USA).

“Mista Chocka” (Twitter Name) received his Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree from Northeastern University, with the honor of the Academic Excellence Award for his cohort (Secondary Education).  He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

I’m in my 8th year of teaching ELL at the secondary level.  He enjoys speaking Spanish and French, and feels fortunate to have been able to experience years of international travel, thanks to his dear mom’s 33 years as a flight attendant.  These are some of the reasons why he believes in that old adage… “You don’t choose your career… it chooses you!”

Thank you for visiting this blog, and please check out the latest comment or question on the main page.
